WIRELESS APPROVAL
WPC APPROVAL (Wireless Planning and Coordination)
Fundamentals
WPC is the wing of Ministry of Communications which is a part of DoT (Department of Telecom) which is responsible for managing the Frequency Spectrum which includes licensing and serves to the needs of all wireless users in the country. It exercises the statutory functions of the Central Government and issues licenses to establish, maintain and operate wireless stations.
To be deployed in India, all electromagnetic items that operate in the license-free band must be certified by the Wireless Planning and Control wing. They must be built in such a way that the throughput, emission, consumption, and other parameters comply with the limits outlined in numerous announcements in this respect.
WPC is part of the Government of India’s Ministry and has five Provincial Registration Centers called as RLO’s located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, and Guwahati, with its headquarters located.
Below are the list of Licenses under WPC
